Release reaction
How big is the move after a release?
For each scheduled US release we measured how far the market moved in the first 15 minutes, the first hour and the first four hours after it printed, and how that hour compares with a normal hour. It shows how much markets have moved, not which way.
The first release reaction table appears here once the desk publishes it.
Where this stops
This is a count of how big past moves were. It shows no prices or levels and doesn't say whether to trade, which way, or how big. A single release can look nothing like the middle value. We don't give trade calls, entries, stops, targets or position sizes, and past results don't predict future ones.
